This policy explains what personal information The Ladies Taylor collects through ladiestaylor.com and its related pages, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. "We", "us" and "our" mean Rahul Babu A, who runs The Ladies Taylor from Indiranagar, Bangalore 560038, Karnataka. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the website.

We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. By using the website you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Enquiries and forms: when you fill in our contact form, the footer sign-up or any form on the site (for example a brief or a free logo application), we collect what you enter. This usually includes your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, website and your message. Some forms let you upload files.
• Booking a call: your name, email address, phone number, the call type, the time you choose and any notes. For paid consultations, payment is handled by Razorpay (see section 4).
• Events and courses: your name, email address, phone number, the number of tickets and payment status.
• Store orders: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the items you order and payment status.
• Your account: if you create an account, your name, email address and password. Your password is stored securely by our account provider and we never see it.
• Newsletters: your email address when you sign up for our newsletters, including the Taylor Charts newsletter.
• Messages to us: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp or social media.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical information: like every website, our hosting provider records your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site running, secure and fast.
• Analytics and advertising information: only if you accept cookies (see section 3), Google Analytics and the Meta pixel record which pages you visit, how you arrived (for example from a search or an ad) and actions such as submitting a form, booking a call, registering for an event or placing an order. When you submit a form, book, register or order, that action is also shared with Meta from our server, as section 3 explains.

We don't knowingly collect sensitive information such as health, financial account or biometric details. Card and bank details you enter at checkout go directly to Razorpay and are never stored by us.

2. Why we use your information

• To reply to your enquiries and send you proposals you've asked for.
• To schedule and run calls, consultations, events and courses, and to send confirmations and reminders.
• To process and deliver orders, handle payments and issue receipts and refunds.
• To run your account and let you see your bookings, registrations and orders.
• To send newsletters you've signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• To understand which pages and campaigns work, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested (only with your consent).
• To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and fix problems.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent for analytics, advertising and newsletters. For everything else we rely on the purpose you gave us the information for (for example, you send an enquiry so that we reply) or on our legal obligations. We never sell your personal information.

3. Cookies, analytics and the Meta pixel

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use:

• Essential cookies and storage: these keep you signed in to your account and remember your cookie choice. The website can't work properly without them, so they don't need consent.
• Google Analytics (analytics): helps us understand how people use the website, which pages are popular and where visitors come from.
• Meta pixel (advertising): a piece of code from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta when someone visits our pages or takes actions such as submitting a form, booking a call, registering for an event or placing an order. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account. We use it to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited the site or are similar to them. Meta's use of this information is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy).

Google Analytics and the Meta pixel only load after you click Accept on our cookie notice. If you click Decline, neither is loaded. To change your choice later, clear our site's data in your browser and choose again when the notice reappears. You can also control ads from Meta in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and use Google's browser opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.

Conversions sent from our server: when you submit a form, sign up for a newsletter, book a call, register for an event or course, or place an order, our server also tells Meta about that action (Meta's Conversions API), so we can measure which ads lead to enquiries and sales. We send your email address, phone number and name in hashed (scrambled) form, which Meta uses only to match the action to a Facebook or Instagram account, along with the page, your IP address and browser. This happens whatever you chose on the cookie notice, because you agree to it when you submit: we say so next to each submit button. If you arrived from one of our ads, we also include the ad's click reference and campaign tags, which your browser keeps for 7 days after you arrive and only shares when you submit. To object, email rauly@ladiestaylor.com and we'll stop sending your details.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.

Embedded content: some pages show content from other services, such as Instagram posts and YouTube or Vimeo videos. These services may set their own cookies or collect information when you view or play that content, under their own privacy policies. We use privacy-friendly YouTube embeds where possible.

4. Who we share your information with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, and only what they need to do their job:

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Supabase stores our database, files and user accounts.
• Razorpay processes payments for consultations, events, courses and store orders.
• Resend sends emails such as confirmations and account emails.
• Google provides analytics (with your consent).
• Meta receives pixel data and conversions from our server as described in section 3 (with your consent).
• Substack runs our newsletters, including the Taylor Charts newsletter.
• Courier and delivery partners receive your name, phone number and address to deliver store orders.
• Microlink takes screenshots of public brand websites we feature. It does not receive your personal information.

Some of these providers store or process information outside India. We use reputable providers who protect information with appropriate security, and we share only what is needed.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to valid requests from government authorities, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

• Enquiries and leads: up to 3 years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
• Client, order, booking, event and payment records: as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require (usually 8 years).
• Accounts: until you ask us to delete your account.
• Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• Analytics data: as set in Google Analytics and Meta (currently up to 14 months in Google Analytics).

After that we delete the information or make it anonymous.

6. Your rights

Under Indian data protection law you can:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to delete it (we may need to keep some records where the law requires);
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example to analytics, advertising cookies or newsletters (this doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew);
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to;
• raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (section 9), and if you're not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email rauly@ladiestaylor.com. We'll reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

7. Keeping your information safe

We use secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the website, keep access to personal information limited to the people who need it, and use providers with strong security. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but if a breach affects your information we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. Children

The website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's consent. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Grievance Officer and contact

For questions, requests or complaints about your personal information, contact our Grievance Officer:

We'll acknowledge your message within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or services. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll show a notice on the website or email you if we have your address.
